New models - KGM - Actyon - HybridKGM launches Actyon Hybrid for AustraliaElectrified vehicle line-up expands at KGM as Actyon Hybrid joins the range3 Feb 2026 By MATT BROGAN
KGM AUSTRALIA has this week announced the debut of its Actyon Hybrid range, the petrol-electric hybrid joining a growing number of electrified offerings within the Korean brand’s portfolio and available from just $48,000 for a limited time.
That pricing places the Actyon Hybrid in the thick of the Medium SUV segment, competing against the likes of the GWM Haval H6 Hybrid (from $40,990), GWM Haval H7 Hybrid (from $46,990), Honda CR-V e:HEV (from $59,990), Honda ZR-V e:HEV (from $54,900), Hyundai Tucson Hybrid (from $42,850), KGM Torres Hybrid (from $45,000), Kia Sportage Hybrid (from $44,450), MG HS Hybrid (from $42,990), Nissan X-Trail e-Power (from $48,915), Subaru Forester Hybrid (from $46,490), and segment leading Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (from $45,990).
Offered in two trim grades – K50 and K60 – the KGM Actyon Hybrid joins the recently launched Torres Hybrid as the importer’s second hybridised model, and combines a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine with dual electric motors to provide front-wheel motive power, alongside “strong performance and excellent fuel economy”.
The coupe-style SUV arrives as standard with animated daytime running lights, 20-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, black leather upholstery, eight-way powered front seats with ventilation and heating functions, rear seat (outboard) heating, a powered tailgate with kick sensor, and a range of six exterior colours including new Dandy Blue and Forest Green with metallic hues adding $700 to the list price.
Looking closer at the range, we find the Actyon Hybrid K50 arriving with additional equipment highlights such as adaptive cruise control, LED headlighting, dual 12.3-inch instrumentation and infotainment displays, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, LED ambient cabin lighting, and rain-sensing wipers.
The high-grade Actyon Hybrid K60 substitutes or adds to that list with 360-degree camera technology, a panoramic sunroof, rear door pull-up sun blinds, and a wireless phone charging pad.
These figures join an extensive itinerary of standard safety technologies which includes eight airbags, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot warning, driver attention warning, front and rear acoustic parking sensors, high beam assist, lane departure and keeping assistants, trailer stability assist, and tyre pressure monitoring.
KGM says the Actyon Hybrid produces 110kW of power at 5500rpm and 220Nm of torque between 2200-4200rpm. Total system power with aid of the dual electric motors lifts to 150kW/300Nm, with drive to the front wheels via a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.
Combined cycle fuel consumption is listed at a competitive 5.5 litres per 100km noting that the Actyon Hybrid requires premium 95RON (or higher) unleaded petrol to operate effectively. CO2 emissions for the model are listed at 127 grams per kilometre.
Electric power is stored in a lithium iron phosphate battery pack of 1.8kWh capacity.
KGM lists a cargo space total of 430 litres with the rear seats in place, and up to 1440 litres all told.
Braked towing capacity is rated to 1300kg.
“This new powertrain adds even more appeal to an already strikingly designed vehicle with premium standard features,” remarked KGM Australia head of sales and marketing Mathew Sondergold.
“It gives buyers a great opportunity to experience advanced hybrid technology without compromising on style or practicality, and the combination of extra performance and improved fuel economy is a real bonus.”
The MY27 KGM Actyon Hybrid range is backed by the Korean importer’s seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty with seven years or 150,000km (whichever comes first) of warranty coverage on the high-voltage traction battery.
Roadside assistance is included for the first five years of ownership.
The MY27 (2026) KGM Actyon Hybrid range is in dealerships from this month (February).
