MG has launched its latest petrol-electric hybrid, the HS Hybrid+ offering “the most powerful liquid cooled hybrid battery in its class (1.83kWh), alongside a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, electric motor, and two-speed transmission”.

Next-gen’ mid-size SUV from MG available with petrol and (soon) plug-in hybrid engine options. Generous equipment levels across three variants, powered by an updated 1.5-litre turbo four-cylinder petrol engine with 125kW/275Nm of torque.

Having launched its first EV late last year, MG Motor is launching its first dedicated plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and it comes in the form of the mid-sized HS SUV.

MG has found plenty of success with its line-up of cheap but cheerful models, but it will take its sales growth to the next level when it launches the all-new HS mid-size SUV, the successor to the GS that failed to fire.
