MG 3 Vibe

Budget-friendly Vibe variant is added to popular MG 3 range the cheapest competitor in the Light passenger segment. Petrol-powered running a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 81kW/142Nm economy is rated at 6.0 litres per 100km on standard 91RON petrol.

MG S5 EV

Replaces the ZS EV at drive-away pricing with a 7kW Charge Hub for first 500 buyers. Single drive motor with two battery sizes available in 49kWh and 62kWh with claimed ranges of 415km and 515km. A 30-80 per cent charging time of 19 minutes possible via a 150kW DC fast charger.

MG Cyberster RWD

Cheaper rear-wheel drive version of the Cyberster is lighter and with longer battery range (552km). It is visually indistinguishable from dual-motor model and complete with scissor doors. Maxes out at 250kW/475Nm for a claimed 5.2 second 0-100km/h sprint.

MG QS

MG Motor’s keenly anticipated QS seven-seat SUV available in Excite and Essence trims powered exclusively by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 153kW/360Nm and a conventional nine-speed automatic transmission. PHEV version is coming soon.

A refreshed design with more advanced safety features targets better ANCAP performance. Outside, there is a new grille, head and taillights, and bumpers, while inside, there is a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The all-new small SUV from MG surprisingly arrives after the hybrid model. The top of the ICE line-up has 18-inch alloy wheels and a 125kW/275Nm 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, while lower-spec versions get a naturally aspirated 81kW/140Nm 1.5-litre.

MG’S long-awaited Cyberster two-seater electric sports car has finally made it Down Under initially in all-wheel drive form potentially with rear-drive and coupe versions later on. Funky stuff includes scissor doors and a dual motor powertrain with 375kW/725Nm fed by a 77kWh battery.

MG MOTOR’S new gen’ ZS small SUV arrives in FWD Hybrid+ form first with petrol versions down the track. With hybrid powertrain availability, the new model is expected to build on its segment-leading position depending on price and specification.

A likely starter this month, the MG 3 will offer a choice of 1.5-litre petrol and a brand-first conventional hybrid powertrain. One of the most affordable cars in light segment, the popular five-door hatch is moving into a new generation this time around with commensurate price hike.

An affordable two-variant front-drive petrol sedan similar in size to Honda Civic. “Sharp” dynamics and two 1.5-litre engines, one with turbo with CVT or seven speed dual-clutch auto respectively.

All-electric, four model rear-wheel drive hatch range includes a price-leading Excite 51 model joining 64 and 77 (kWh battery) variants with up to 530km range. Full suite of ADAS fitted.

As the name suggests, this vehicle is MG Motor Australia’s Long Range variant of the ZS EV small electric SUV priced at $55,990 drive-away. The Chinese manufacturer fast-tracked the vehicle’s arrival here due to unprecedented demand for its current battery electric vehicle (BEV) offering.

Buyers snapped up 500 ZS EVs early this year with a $500 discount on ChargeHub wall-charging station. Price is $46,990 D/A for the well-equipped small SUV with a 130kW/280Nm (320km range).  

MG Motor Australia officially sold out the pre-launch offer associated with the first 500 units of its updated ZS EV, well before the official on-sale date of July 2022.

A mid-tier Excite version of MG's HS Plus petrol-electric hybrid medium SUV features the same driveline and safety tech as the HS Plus EV Essence variant, but with marginally fewer features.  

Having launched its first EV late last year, MG Motor is launching its first dedicated plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and it comes in the form of the mid-sized HS SUV.

MG has found plenty of success with its line-up of cheap but cheerful models, but it will take its sales growth to the next level when it launches the all-new HS mid-size SUV, the successor to the GS that failed to fire.
