News - GWM - TankGWM extends Tank 300, Cannon service intervalsADVANCED TIMING: The service interval shift brings the models in-line with other GWM products. Diesel-powered Tank 300 and Cannon models now offer 12-month/15,000km service intervals20 Jun 2025 By MATT BROGAN GWM has announced a shift in service intervals for its turbocharged 2.4-litre diesel-powered Cannon and Tank 300 models.
In a move the Chinese importer says its designed to deliver greater convenience and value for its customers, relevant models will now be eligible for scheduled servicing at 12 months / 15,000km intervals instead of the 10,000km mileage interval previously stipulated.
The first scheduled service, however, remains fixed at 12 months or 10,000km – whichever comes first.
GWM says the adjustment aligns the 2.4-litre diesel powertrain with market expectations while maintaining “exceptional performance and reliability”.
Additionally, the revision extends coverage under GWM’s capped-price servicing program from 45,000km to 70,000km, providing owners with what GWM Australia and New Zealand chief operating officer John Kett says is enhanced value and greater peace of mind.
“After extensive collaboration with our factory and R&D teams, we have successfully optimised the service schedule for these models, improving owner convenience while also lowering overall maintenance costs,” he said.
Mr Kett said GWM remains committed to continuous improvement, focused on delivering competitive ownership costs and best-in-class servicing.
