Marketed as an attainable and attractive alternative to the entry-grade Life, the CityLife is fitted as standard with 16-inch Torsby alloy wheels, dark tinted privacy glass, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, park assist, side assist with rear cross-traffic alert, and a proactive occupant protection system.
As with the T-Cross and T-Roc CityLife special editions, a CityLife badge is applied to the tailgate of the Polo.
The Polo CityLife is otherwise equipped as per the Life variant on which it is based. Highlights of the variant include dusk-sensing LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, height adjustable front seats with lumbar adjustment, an adjustable front centre armrest, illuminated vanity mirrors, leather covered steering wheel with gearshift paddles, Digital Cockpit, an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, DAB+ digital radio, four USB-C ports, and wireless phone charging.
From model year 2026 (MY26) every Volkswagen Polo further includes wireless App-Connect – newly standard on the Life at no extra cost, and now the CityLife. The model further includes adaptive cruise control and lane assist for semi-autonomous highway driving.
The Volkswagen Polo CityLife is powered by a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine delivering 85kW of power from 5000-5500rpm and 200Nm of torque from 2000-3500rpm. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch (DSG) transmission to enable a claimed combined cycle fuel consumption figure of 5.5 litres per 100km.
“In its current generation the Volkswagen Polo challenges vehicles from the class above with its spacious cabin, 351-litre luggage capacity, great refinement and polished dynamics,” said Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles product manager Todd Ford.
“The Polo CityLife combines the best of the Polo Life with higher specification that customers will love, delivering an ideal blend of style, efficiency and appointments – all for a great price.”
The Polo CityLife will be available in Volkswagen dealerships from November.
