New models - Renault - Koleos - TechnoNew flagship joins Renault Koleos rangeTechno variant to replace Intens in Koleos line-up, priced from $39,990 + ORC22 Jul 2025 By MATT BROGAN RENAULT Australia continues its Koleos sales push with its new flagship Techno variant priced from $39,990 plus on-road costs while the entry-grade Evolution remains at $36,990 drive-away.
Sitting atop the Koleos line-up, the Techno replaces the outgoing Intens range-topper and is offered in two- and all-wheel drive configurations with feature highlights including 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, leather-accented upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a 7.0-inch digital instrumentation panel and keyless entry and ignition.
The infotainment package includes an AM/FM/DAB+ radio, embedded satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and eight-speaker sound, all presented via an 8.7-inch portrait-oriented centre touchscreen.
Under the bonnet, the Renault Koleos Techno features a familiar 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine developing 126kW at 6000rpm and 226Nm at 4400rpm.
Drive is via a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with fuel consumption listed at 8.1 litres per 100km in two-wheel drive format and 8.3L/100km for the AWD. All variants operate on standard 91RON unleaded petrol.
The Renault Koleos is backed by a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty with service intervals at 12 months or 30,000km (whichever comes first).
“(The) Renault Koleos continues to offer great looks, luxury features, plenty of space, and easy-to-use controls in a vehicle that suits the urban jungle as well as the weekend getaway,” said Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey.
“This freshen up means we can continue to offer a premium mid-size SUV at an attainable price point.
“We know there is a lot of competition in the mid-size SUV market, but our customers appreciate the ease of functionality of our car.
“The cabin controls are familiar and easy to use, and our safety systems are intuitive and not intrusive, all while keeping you safe on the road.
“Koleos has been a mainstay of the Renault range in Australia, with nearly 30,000 vehicles sold.
“This update to our flagship model gives buyers a reason to take a closer look and add it to their consideration list in one of the most hotly contested segments of the new-car market.”
The Koleos continues to struggle against more popular medium SUV segment rivals, having achieved only 424 unit sales to the end of June (2025).
By contrast, the Toyota RAV4 sold 24,024 units across the same period, leading the Mazda CX-5 (11,991), Mitsubishi Outlander (11,399), Kia Sportage (10,558), and Hyundai Tucson (10,272).
