New models - Ram - 1500 - RebelRam 1500 Rebel priced for AustraliaNew off-road variant joins Ram 1500 line-up Down Under priced from $141,950 + ORC21 Aug 2025 By MATT BROGAN RAM TRUCKS AUSTRALIA has announced details of its 1500 Rebel, an off-road-focused variant now available locally priced from $141,950 plus on-road costs.
Set to become a permanent feature in the 1500 line-up, the Rebel boasts high-clearance suspension from Bilstein, 32-inch Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tyres, a 313kW/635Nm twin-turbocharged Hurricane six-cylinder petrol engine, and Sports Hood as standard.
Those features join five driving modes, underbody skid plates, up to 4500kg of braked towing capacity, 893kg of payload capacity, a locking rear differential, spray-in bed liner, powered tailgate, powder-coated steel bumpers, fender flares, and bespoke 18-inch alloy wheels.
Moving inside we find a unique red-and-black interior trim combination, Rebel embroidery on the front seats, a panoramic sunroof, 19-speaker sound system, heated front and outboard rear seats, 12.0-inch digital instrument panel, 14.4-inch touchscreen infotainment array, and a 10.25-inch passenger entertainment screen.
Crucial off-road geometry figures for the Ram 1500 Rebel include an approach angle of 20.9 degrees, break-over angle of 19.2 degrees, and departure angle of 22.2 degrees.
The variant further features LED headlights; bespoke grille, front bar, colour scheme, and badging; blackened mirror caps and door handles; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity; dual wireless device charging pads; adaptive cruise control; front and rear parking sensors; and a rear-view camera.
Paint options include Bright White, Flame Red, and Hydro Blue.
“We know modern ute buyers love the tough-truck look and prefer lots of black rather than lashings of chrome,” said Ram Trucks Australia general manager Jeff Barber.
“But with the new Ram 1500 Rebel, buyers also get extra capability with an impressive payload, more ground clearance, and off-road suspension and tyres.
“In addition to that, we have opted to include top-tier luxury items that are optional in the US, such as the panoramic sunroof, 19-speaker audio, 14.4-inch infotainment screen, 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, heated and cooled seats, the list goes on.
“We have identified a niche within the US pick-up segment in Australia that leans into the off-road market and weekend getaways.
“For example, we have intentionally included the full-size ute tub on this model – rather than the RamBox – so customers can fit more camping gear, or even put a dirt bike in the back and be able to close the tailgate.
“While we won’t share volume expectations today, we do believe the Ram 1500 Rebel has the potential to become one of our biggest selling models, especially as it is designed to appeal to younger buyers.”
As is available elsewhere in the 1500 range, the Rebel features Ram’s new twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre ‘Hurricane’ petrol engine developing 7.6 per cent more power and 14.2 per cent more torque than the previous 5.7-litre Hemi V8.
Ram Trucks Australia says the engine enables the 1500 Rebel to acceleration from 0-100km/h in six seconds or less.
