With a specification level that focuses on safety, connectivity, and everyday usability, the ZS Vibe undercuts the Chery Tiggo 4 and Mahindra XUV 3XO by $1000.
The variant loses the turbocharged engine, climate control system, and 17-inch alloy wheels offered on the Vibe Turbo, but offers a competitive list of standard features, including 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen hosting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Other highlights include dusk-sensing headlights, keyless entry and ignition, cloth upholstery, AM/FM/DAB+ radio reception, four-speaker sound, and two USB ports. The headlights are halogen.
The five-star ANCAP-rated ZS is offered as standard with MG’s ‘Pilot’ technology suite, including seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitoring, lane keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, a rear-view camera, traffic sign recognition, tyre pressure monitoring, and more.
Power comes from a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine developing 81kW/140Nm paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. Fuel consumption is listed at 6.7 litres per 100km on the ADR combined cycle.
For reference, the Vibe Turbo makes 125kW/275Nm and consumes 6.9L/100km.
“The MG ZS Vibe is about making life simple,” said MG Motor Australia business director Kevin Gannon.
“It is a car designed for people who want great value, modern technology, and five-star safety peace of mind, without overcomplicating things.
“The return of the ZS Vibe strengthens our promise of offering accessible mobility for Australians.”
