New models - Lotus - Emira - TurboLimited-run Lotus Emira dedicated to BathurstBathurst Edition of Lotus Emira Turbo limited to a run of just 15 cars27 Feb 2026 THE Australian dealer for both Lotus and KTM’s X-Bow, Simply Sports Cars, has unveiled an ultra-limited Lotus Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition dedicated to the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit.
Almost guaranteeing it becomes a collector’s item, just 15 examples are being offered exclusively to Australian customers.
Over the Emira Turbo donor car that is powered by a Mercedes-AMG M139 2.0-litre turbocharged in-line four (used in A45 and CLA45 AMG), the Bathurst Edition gains more power and torque to a whopping 372kW and 600Nm.
This marks a 104kW/170Nm increase over the standard Lotus Emira Turbo (268kW/430Nm) and a 74kW/120Nm uptick over the more-powerful Emira Turbo SE (298kW/480Nm).
Like the existing variants of the Emira Turbo, the Bathurst Edition features an eight-speed dual clutch transmission – albeit with a revised tune – and rear-wheel drive.
Further additions include Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres (or optional Yokohama A052 tyres), AP Racing brakes, a new electronic stability control tune, an upgraded aero kit complete with a GT4 race-car-inspired rear wing, three-way adjustable dampers, a lowered ride height and new wheel alignment settings.
It also arrives with aesthetic tweaks, including a racing-inspired livery with Bathurst edition decals, and a build plate fitted in the interior.
The Bathurst Edition is priced at $249,900 before on-road costs, compared to $199,990 + ORCs for the Emira Turbo and the $209,990 + ORC asking price for the Turbo SE. However, the price tag also includes an entry into the 2027 Lotus Bathurst track day.
One example of the limited-run model has already been accounted for, leaving just 14 cars up for grabs.
While competitively absent from major endurance racing events at Bathurst in recent years –Lotus last appeared at the 12 Hour in 2015 – the British marque has a lengthy history at the Mountain, with its racing cars appearing at Mount Panorama as early as the 1960s.
The Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition isn’t the first Lotus special edition dedicated to the iconic racing circuit.
In October 2019, an even more exclusive Elise Cup 250 Bathurst Edition was unveiled, with the handful of six cars arriving with aesthetic tweaks and an upgraded suspension tune.
Other marques have also dedicated special models to the Mountain, including Chevrolet (GMSV) which unveiled the Bathurst 12 Hour Speciality Edition Corvette early this year – limited to a run of only 12 cars – ahead of the brand’s debut attempt in the endurance race of the same name.
Further examples include Bathurst Editions of the Toyota MR2, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and the Vauxhall VXR8 (based on the HSV GTS).
