Featuring a 80.6kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, the two-wheel drive model features a 152kW/339Nm set across the front axle, while the all-wheel drive adds a 152kW/339Nm motor to the rear, taking total system output to 266kW/630Nm.
KGM says the two-wheel drive model can travel 420km between visits to the charger, while the AWD offers a “slightly lower” range of 380km.
Fast DC charging is available at up to 300kW, the battery capable of being replenished from 20-80 per cent in approximately 31 minutes. AC charging is offered at a rate of up to 10.5kW.
Against the tape, the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux rival measures a comparable 5160mm in length, 1920mm in width, 1750mm in height, and 3150mm in wheelbase. The Musso EV weighs in at 2165kg (kerb) and offers a maximum payload capacity of up to 905kg. Braked towing capacity is listed at up to 1800kg.
KGM quotes a ground clearance figure of 181mm and approach, breakover, and departure angles of 20.2-, 15.1-, and 24.3 degrees respectively.
For the entry grade Musso EV (from $60,000 d/a) we find standard equipment highlights that include 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, ambient LED cabin lighting, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, dual 12.3-inch instrument and infotainment screens, dual-zone climate control, heated front and outboard rear seats and ventilated front seats.
The model also features a heated steering wheel, LED exterior lighting, powered eight-way front seats clad in faux leather, rain-sensing wipers, self-levelling rear suspension, tub liner with lighting and corner steps, a wireless phone charger, and a 360-degree camera system.
The mid-tier Musso Black Edge (from $62,000 d/a) adds leather and suede combination upholstery, black 17-inch alloy wheels, black exterior elements – including bonnet garnish, door mirrors, tailgate badge, sail plane, front bumper trim, and C-pillar emblem – a black steering wheel bezel, and dark wood grain interior garnishing.
The range is topped by the all-wheel drive Musso EV (from $64,000 d/a) which carries all the equipment listed for the base two-wheel drive but with the AWD driveline mentioned above.
Among the standard safety and driver assistance technologies included for the 2026 KGM Musso EV we find eight airbags, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, front and rear acoustic parking sensors, front vehicle start alert, high beam assist, lane departure alert, lane keeping assist, safety distance alert, and trailer stability assist.
As standard, the Musso EV is finished in Grand White paint. Metallic hues attract a $700 price premium and include Space Black, Blazing Gold, Marble Grey, Ultra Marine, and Amazonia Green.

As elsewhere in the KGM range, the Musso EV is warranted by a seven-year/unlimited kilometre guarantee. The high-voltage battery is covered for 10 years and unlimited distance.
Sales commence from 1 December.
