New models - Jeep - GladiatorJeep updates slow-selling GladiatorAdded equipment and updated look for slow-selling Jeep Gladiator four-wheel drive ute23 Jul 2025 By MATT BROGAN JEEP Australia has announced changes to its Gladiator range, the Wrangler-based four-wheel drive ute adding styling updates including a new-look grille, alloy wheels, and body-colour “fender” flares alongside changes to the equipment list across the board.
Available only in Rubicon variant, the updated Jeep Gladiator is priced from $82,990 plus on-road costs, a $4260 reduction.
Importantly, the model now includes side curtain airbags, a rear seat reminder, and auto high beam headlights as part of a safety overhaul.
Elsewhere, the Gladiator adds as standard additional underbody protections and previously optional elements from the Lifestyle Adventure Group including lockable under-seat stowage, trail rail system, auxiliary switch bank, higher capacity 240-amp alternator, Bluetooth speaker, and spray-in bedliner.
Other inclusions see the Gladiator now fitted as standard with front Gorilla glass with in-built antenna, 12-way powered front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, a revised dashboard upper, and a larger 12.3-inch Uconnect infotainment array with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Premium paint ($1145) and a body-coloured hard top ($1950) remain optional. Bright White is the only paint colour to not attract a price surcharge, with Anvil, Black, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Mojito, and ’41 available optionally.
Under the bonnet, the Gladiator continues to feature Jeep’s 3.6-litre V6 petrol offering developing 209kW347Nm driving all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel consumption is listed at 12.4 litres per 100km on the ADR Combined cycle with corresponding CO2 emissions of 278 grams per kilometre.
Sales data published by the FCAI shows the Jeep Gladiator is the slowest selling vehicle in its segment (Pick-up/Cab-chassis 4x4) with just 197 units sold to the end of June 2025.
The figure pales against class leaders including the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux with YTD sales of 26,671 and 22,245 units respectively.
