New models - GWM - Haval - H6GWM adds Haval H6 variantsTwo new electrified variants join recently updated GWM Haval H6 line-up this month1 Sep 2025 By MATT BROGAN GWM has broadened its recently updated Haval H6 medium SUV range with the addition of two new electrified variants – the Lux two-wheel drive plug-in hybrid and Ultra all-wheel drive hybrid.
Respectively priced from $44,990 and $47,490 drive-away, the duo will join the six variants previously announced, the two newcomers highly specified with a comprehensive list of standard equipment.
The Lux plug-in hybrid comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, auto high beam, auto-folding wing mirrors with puddle lights, keyless entry, and a powered tailgate with kick sensor.
Inside, the variant offers a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ‘Comfort Tek’ imitation leather upholstery, powered driver’s seat adjustment, dual-zone climate control, shift-by-wire gear selection, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, rain-sensing wipers, and keyless ignition.
These features are accompanied by infotainment and connectivity highlights such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight-speaker sound, voice control, front and rear USB outlets, DAB+ digital radio reception, a 50-watt wireless device charging pad, and a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Safety technologies include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, collision mitigation, driver monitoring, rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, tyre pressure monitoring, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera system.
The Ultra all-wheel drive hybrid adds rear privacy glass, a panoramic sunroof, front heated and ventilated seats, powered front passenger seat adjustment, stainless steel sill covers, nine-speaker sound, driver seat position memory, driver lumbar support adjustment, head-up display, auto parking assist, a heated steering wheel, front parking sensors, and auto reverse assist.
“The addition of these new variants further demonstrates GWM’s commitment to electrification and customer choice, providing even more reasons for Australians to consider the GWM brand,” said GWM Australia head of marketing and communications Steve Maciver.
“With hybrid and plug-in hybrid technologies now available across both 2WD and AWD configurations, the Haval H6 stands as one of the most comprehensive electrified SUV ranges in the country.”
As is the case elsewhere in the GWM range, the Haval H6 is backed by the Chinese importer’s seven-year/unlimited-kilometre new car warranty with eight years/unlimited kilometre coverage on the high voltage battery pack.
Roadside assistance and capped-price servicing is included for five years via GWM’s network of 117 dealerships nationwide.
The expanded Haval H6 range will be available in those showrooms from mid-September.
