New models - Kia - EV6Kia prices updated EV6 range for AustraliaDesign changes, range improvements, more advanced tech for updated Kia EV615 Jan 2026 By MATT BROGAN KIA Australia has announced pricing details for its updated EV6 range, due to arrive in local dealerships imminently.
Boasting exterior and interior design changes, further advancements in comfort and convenience technology, a larger battery for improved range, and an enhanced chassis tune, the 2026 Kia EV6 remains competitively priced, with list prices increasing by just $70 across the board.
Now available from $72,660 plus on-road costs, the EV6 features a larger 84kWh battery (up from 77.4kWh) to deliver up to 582km WLTP of driving range from a single charge.
Ride and handling has also come in for an upgrade, with softer front springs and a stiffer rear sway bar benefitting grip levels, rough road competence, steering feedback, and cornering accuracy.
And while those changes cannot be seen, there are many that are totally conspicuous.
Sportier exterior styling features Kia’s signature Star Map lighting shapes, the new headlights clusters of the EV6 giving the car a more high-tech look that also offers a wide, more dynamic visage.
The front bumper is reprofiled with sharper angles, which complement bolder bonnet creases Kia says allow improved air flow while at the same time lending more visual contrast and depth.
At the rear, three-dimensional tail-lights also take on Kia’s Star Map design language, while the rear bumper adopts a wider, wing-type shape that visually ties the rear design to the front.
Across the range, we find new alloy wheel designs ranging from 19- to 21 inches in diameter depending on trim grade.
Moving inside, the EV6 adopts more horizontal theming to enhance the sense of cabin width, the driver-centric layout featuring a standard 12.3-inch display that integrates the instrument cluster and infotainment screen to provide “an immersive visual experience”.
The EV6 further receives a new steering wheel design – inspired by the EV9 SUV – an updated centre control, and Kia’s fingerprint recognition functionality on GT-Line and GT grades.
Other changes include ccNC software as part of the infotainment array, offering enhanced graphics and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Kia Connect connected car services, and over-the-air updates to ensure the on-board technology is maintained to its most recent level.
The 2026 Kia EV6 range remains available in rear- and all-wheel drive configurations and with the choice of Air, GT-Line, and GT grades, as priced below.
